BACHELOR IN COMPUTER APPLICATION (BCA)
Tribhuvan University has launched Bachelor of Arts in Computer Application (BCA) program from the academic year 2074/75. BCA is a four-year (eight semesters) program offered by the college in affiliation with Tribhuvan University. The program covers 126 credit hours. The primary objective of the BCA program of Tribhuvan University is to produce high quality computer application users and developers. The course is principally designed to cover essential computer related topics such as networking, programming, software development and information systems. The interdisciplinary nature of the course content allows the students to analyze, formulate, judge, and solve challenging problems in life. The students study various courses linked with information technology such as System Analysis and Design, Network Programming, Distributed System, and Computer Networking. Studying these areas will equip students with the necessary skills of the technical field before moving into any area of management and organization. BCA is the foremost choice of those who want to be a part of the computer application community. Computer Science is applied to every work field. Be it business management or public administration, enterprise resource planning or hotel management, psychology or biology, application of computer technology has become inevitable. The BCA program at this college therefore provides an understanding of the wider world: of society, management, economics, mathematics, and statistics. Students will learn all aspects of existing and emerging information technologies, as well as their impact on the information system function. Additionally, they will have an understanding of design and the development of database applications using the latest technologies.
